- Bachelor of Arts (A.B., cum laude, with general honors) at The University of Georgia; Athens, with major in religion (1991)
- Master of Divinity (M. Div.) at Erskine Theological Seminary; Due West, South Carolina (1994)
- Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) in preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, just north of Boston (2008). His doctoral research focused on the necessity of the Holy Spirit’s ministry in the preparation and delivery of sermons.
Other Experience
- Active in recital ministry via piano performance for 35 years. Three recordings to date: Power Piano (1990), Point of Rest (2001), and O Holy Night (2005).
- Other services as adjunct professor of religion and philosophy, teacher of music (both music classroom and piano study), and accompanist to collegiate music majors.
